Girish Karnad's
NAGA MANDALA
Winning a competition under the auspices of the Sangeet Natak Akademi for Music, Dance and Drama , Phoenix World Theatre was selected to undertake a performance tour of nine cities in Kerala. Our Kerala tour of NAGA MANDALA began on February 15, 2015. Woven from two Indian folk tales, Girish Karnad's play is filled with magic, mysticism, and dream. Our production approach makes extensive use of masks as a means of emphasizing the dream-like form and feel of this play.
