a skeptical doctor encounters a mysterious healer—and finds himself drawn into questions that medicine alone cannot answer. Hints at the unseen forces that bind us, the delicate balance of our relationships, and the breaking points we all inevitably face. I’ve been especially drawn to its exploration of complex family dynamics, the search for truth in ambiguous situations, and the burden of unspoken secrets. Ultimately, it invites us to consider the invisible bonds that shape our existence—and to ask what happens when those bonds reach their limit. In a world woven with tension, how do we keep from unraveling?

a mother’s understanding of her son is transformed by the revelations that follow his sudden death. 

The play reminds us that time is not only a measure, but a weight—pressing on memory, shaping identity, and coloring every choice. Fifteen seconds may seem fleeting, yet it can fracture a life… or begin to heal it. Bruce Karp’s work challenges us to consider: when the clock is ticking, what do we choose to say—and what do we leave unsaid? In this story, time is both thief and truth-teller. Set in Kochi, India, Phoenix World Theatre’s film explores the distance between the person a family remembers and the person who was still struggling to be seen. As her son says to his mother: "I want to live the life I was meant to live."
